Keep Harvesting

Your farm decays every second, and only your harvest keeps it alive.

What it is

What Keep Harvesting is about

You steer a harvest ring across your field, and scythes reap everything inside it. Every plant brings in resources and heals your farm, which never stops losing health. Between rounds you grow your build in the skill tree until it can survive all three trials.

Your first run starts on a small field where only compost grows. After 30 seconds the first round is over, and you take what you gathered into the skill tree. Then the next round starts, and so it goes on until the farm falls or you survive round 30.

At first that is plenty. But the decay picks up with every round, and sooner or later you find out whether your build keeps pace: whether you have enough scythes, whether the field is big enough and whether you hired farmers in time. The first trial in round 10 makes it obvious.

Wood, stone, oil and essence unlock one after another, for good. Every new resource opens up more of the skill tree, and each season shifts which of them grows most often.

A run to victory takes about half an hour, and your first ones will usually end sooner. The seeds you earn along the way go into upgrades for the next attempt.

Features

What to expect

  1. 01

    Harvest with your mouse

A golden ring follows your mouse, and scythes fly to every plant inside it on their own. There is nothing to click. Later you add farmers who harvest by themselves, along with dynamite, lightning, tornadoes, meteors, bees, harvest fires and wildfire that jumps from stalk to stalk.

  2. 02

    Every harvest heals

The farm loses health every second, and a little more with every round. Every plant you harvest heals it a bit. Once it drops below half, the music changes, and that is when you know it is getting tight.

  3. 03

Twelve classes, each with its own ability

Every class shifts the base stats and brings an ability. The druid sends a herd across the field that leaves fresh sprouts in its wake, the smith a whirlwind, the necromancer skeletons that harvest for you. Three classes are open from the start, the other nine unlock through achievements.

  4. 04

    A skill tree to explore

Between rounds you spend your resources in the skill tree. It has more than 200 nodes, but you only see the ones next to what you already own. In the second tree you strengthen the farm itself. Every level there costs a seal, and you only get a few per run.

  5. 05

    Seasons, weather and three trials

Every five rounds the season changes, and with it what grows on the field. On top of that come more than 50 kinds of weather and an event card every three rounds. In round 10 the hail falls, in round 20 the ravens arrive, in round 30 the reaper. Survive him and you have won.

  6. 06

    Progress beyond the run

Every run pays out seeds. You spend them on booster packs in the Meta Shop, draw three out of more than 500 upgrades and keep one for every run after. If the game gets too easy, pick a higher tenancy stage. There are ten, and each one makes life a little harder.
